So the Wynn is a pretty pricey establishment, but really if you ever get to stay here, even if only for one night, I would totally recommend it. We wouldn't be staying here if we didn't get a discount through the MDA convention, so we are lucky!! Definitely one of the nicest hotels in Las Vegas. So after a little break, we decided to head down for some lunch. We decided to hit Zooza Crackers, which is a cute little deli. We had eaten there once before and John remembered their really good chicken noodle soup. So we each had a bowl, and then I also had the latkes which were very yummy!! And he had a hot roast beef sandwich with chips. This totally hit the spot. The chicken noodle soup had real chunks of chicken, lots of veggies and noodles. The potato latkes had this amazing apple sauce with them. John said his sandwich was great too, and we got to sit in a really comfy booth. The service was really good as well. You head up to the counter to order, and then you are given a number, when the food is ready they bring it out to you steaming hot. So it was a really good experience. (ZooZa Crackers $$)

After lunch, we went over to Fashion show mall. It's right across the strip from the Wynn, and they have a pedestrian walkway to get there, so it was really easy. We both wanted to hit another one our favorite store: Bath & Body Works. They have the best smelling and working soaps, and lotions, and bath stuff. On the way we passed a little Crocs stand in the middle of the mall, and they carried all kinds of Crocs I had never seen before. Winter ones, high-heel ones, running shoe ones. So I picked up this great pair, and they are so comfy. I think they are cool cause they are a little bit different. Don't shun the Crocs until you try them!!!

John has been struggling with dry skin lately, so after Bath & Body Works, we also went to L'Occitane En Provence, and picked up some Shea Butter. I also got some Shea Butter lip balm which has worked wonders for my lips. Once we had done a little shopping, I started to get tired again. I still had no voice and was feeling a bit feverish. We went back the Wynn for some R&R.
Before we left Calgary, John and I talked about what restaurants we would like to eat at. He picked Del Monico in the Venetian, a steakhouse by Emeril that we have eaten at before. And I picked Tao at the Venetian, an Asian Bistro that I always wanted to try. I made us reservations online, which was super easy. You just go t0 the dining section of the Venetians website, and choose your restaurant and it shoots you off to OpenTable to make reservations. You can also earn points through OpenTable towards a gift certificate, so I thought that was pretty cool. So anyways, our reservation was for Tao Halloween Night at 7:15pm. We got ready and started walking over. We crossed another pedestrian bridge and into Venetian's new hotel, the Palazzo, it's right next door to the Wynn. It's really nice too. I would like to see their rooms one day.

The Palazzo is pretty much attached to the Venetian, so pretty soon we were in the Venetian casino and on our way to Tao. We stopped in the casino so John could play some blackjack, I just watched him and the hoards of people around us. There were a ton of people dressed for halloween, we saw a ghostbuster, a blind ref, Jackie Moon from Semi-Pro, lots of slutty nurses, fairies and witches. It is amazing the things people will wear and do for attention. Finally we made it to Tao. This was the giant Buddha in the middle of the restaurant. Very cool. I was really excited because I love the whole Asian theme.
We actually got two servers. I guess that's how they do it, each table gets two servers. The male server was snotty, and forcing himself to be polite, but the female server made up for him, she was really nice. The service was great though. We didn't wait long for anything. Every dish is made to be shared family style, which worked for us, because then we got to try more things. I forgot to take a picture of our King Crab California rolls, but they were spectacular!! Then we had the Thai stuffed Shrimp, the Crispy Lobster and Shrimp dumplings, and the Pork Potstickers. All sooooo good. Of this the crispy lobster and shrimp dumplings were my favorite.

Then for a main course we had the Duck Fried Rice, and the Roasted Buddha Chicken. Both were really good. It may sound like a ton of food, but really it was just the right amount. I still had a little room for dessert! So I had green tea ice cream, which was so rich and creamy, with the Lu Cha Blend tea. It was a great combination!!

We both really liked this restaurant, and would definitely eat here again. I think Thai and Japanese food was meant for me. Every time I eat it, I just love it. And it was really good to try somewhere new. (Tao $$$)
After Tao, we went back to the Wynn, stopping on the way to gamble a bit, and then off to bed!!
