I walked over to the Miracle Mile Shops in Planet Hollywood, and I just browsed around. I got myself a tea from my favorite American coffee shop, Coffee, Bean & Tea Leaf. It was perfect. But I didn't really find a lot for myself.
I took this picture when I got to the doors to the casino to the MGM. Look how far I walked? It may not look to bad, but it was quite a ways.
Can you spot the ph way down there? I know ahhh muffin, I had to walk!!
Anyways I stopped at Delight again and picked up a tomato basil pizza for lunch and I took it back up to the room. It was really yummy; nice crispy flatbread! I ate it while watching Days of Our Lives, which I haven't watched in forever. Everyone is still the same, it's hard to believe that they are all still after Dimera, Shouldn't that guy be dead already?!?!
After I was finished lunch, Shannon called and asked me if I wanted to meet up for some shopping. I said okay and planned to meet her down at the Forum shops at Caesar's. I decided that I would take a cab, because it was quite a ways and I still wasn't feeling the greatest. As I waited for the cab, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. I could get in this cab, he could lock me in, drive me way out into the desert, and no one would notice for hours, and they would never find me. It's kind of scary. But the cabbie was actually really nice, and he dropped me off safely at my destination. The funny thing was, Shannon had exactly the same thoughts as me. I had cabs!!
We met in Keihl's at the Forum shops, because Shannon wanted to pick up some lotion. I ended up buying new facial skin care there, and so far it is great. They seem to have great products. And not too too pricey. I also hit Anthropology before Shannon got there, and picked up some really cute notebooks, and found out they are opening a new store in Edmonton! How come Edmonton gets all the good shopping?? Soon there will be no reason to shop in the states, we'll just head out to Edmonton for the day.
Just after we finished at Keihl's, John called and told me they were done at the show and heading down to the Southpoint where Jon and Shannon were staying. Shannon and I decided we were done with the shopping and hopped a cab to meet them. John and Jon gambled a bit, while Shannon and I had a really good visit over drinks in the lounge.
We had made dinner plans while we were still in Calgary to go to the Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Circus Circus is pretty much a dive, but the Steakhouse is fabulous. Best steak and crab you will ever eat. So we headed down there for our reservation at 7. John had the Surf & Turf of course, and I had the Chicken. John shared some of his crab with me, but I couldn't get enough of the garlic mashed potatoes. They were to die for!! The chicken was also very tasty, but I could have eaten a huge plate of potatoes and been very, very happy.
