Well seeing as we had already spent most of the day vegging out and lazing around our room, we decided to continue. I went down to the gift shop and picked up supplies: chips, chocolate, and pop. I also stopped in at the Cafe attached and got myself a cup of tea and an apple chausson, which is an apple turnover. It was really, really good. I am talking melt in your mouth pastry, with just enough apple filling. An extremely close second to the chausson de pomme in Paris. Yum Yum, I wanna take some of those home. So we laid in bed and channel surfed, who am I kidding, John channel surfed, and I watched. I cannot believe the amount of campaign commercials. If I lived down here I would be going crazy!! And they are all malicious badgering of the candidates.
Did you know Dina (insert last name) who is running for Congress, didn't pay her taxes for 5 years! 5 years, how can you vote for someone who doesn't pay her taxes. It really is ridiculous!!
So a while later, John got hungry and we decided to order room service, once again it was super speedy. I have never been so impressed with how fast hotel room service is!! John ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and I just wanted a snack so I got the homemade chips with shallot creme fraiche, and mixed berries. I was expecting a small order of chips, but it was huge!!! And it was so good, the dip was so creamy, it perfectly complimented the chips. And if you love fruit, go to a nice Las Vegas hotel and order the berries. They must go through and hand pick the perfect, plump berries to serve you. They are so good, and you never find a wilted, lack-lustre berry in your bowl. It was funny, because we were watching the World Series of Poker on tv, and the lady who delivered our food, kept lingering trying to watch tv.

Finally the lady leaves, and John goes to put ice in our glasses and says, "What the hell is this?". I'm thinking, what is what? He picks something up and presses a button, and fart noises come out. We were laughing our heads off.

I stopped giggling enough to snap some pictures. I have no idea why or how this rude little key chain got onto our room service table, but there it was. Someone must have been playing a joke on somebody. Oh well it gave us a good giggle!

Well that's about it for today. We are going to bed, and then tomorrow we are off to the MGM Signature suites. I am really looking forward to seeing them. They are those condo apartments that they built behind the MGM, and some people buy them, but you can also stay in them. They are suites and they weren't much more expensive than the Mirage, so we decided to try them out. John also has to go to the SEMA show over the next few days, and it's at the Convention centre which is right on the monorail line, and the MGM is also right on the monorail line too. How convenient!!
Off to gulp some NyQuil....
