Las Vegas Day 2

When we got up, we decided to do room service. I still had no voice, so John ordered me the French Toast, and he had Bacon & eggs, and toast. It was the fastest room service ever. I jumped in the shower while John was ordering, and it got here about 5 minutes after I got out. I couldn't believe it! The French toast was nothing to write home about, and it was cold, but John enjoyed his bacon and eggs.

After breakfast, John wanted to make some hockey bets, and he had to go to a meeting, so I walked down with him, and then I came back up to the room to rest. Having a cold sucks!! Especially with no voice, but it could have been worse. When John came back, we decided to go back to Zooza Crackers for lunch. Again it was really good! I had the Tomato Bisque, with half a tuna sandwich and chips, John had the cornbeef sandwich on rye with fries.

After lunch we went in search of the Habs game. We went to several sports books with no luck, before settling in at the Palazzo. The sports book and the Palazzo used to be a night club, but it went under so they converted it into a sports book. So it was a little weird. But we found a comfy spot on the patio with a lounger and a tv that got the habs game, and we were happy. Unbelievably the habs made a massive comeback in the 3rd period and won 5-4. It ended at about 6:30pm, which gave us time to meander over to Del Monico for our 7:00pm reservation. John bought at celebratory cigar, as we were celebrating some good Heninger news, hence the fancy dinner.
Once again Del Monico didn't disappoint. The service and the food were spectacular. I only wish that I was hungrier or had a bigger stomach so I could eat more. You have to try the Parmesan Truffle Potato chips if you ever go there. They are so good!! John started with the Gumbo, and I hand the Vine Ripened Tomato Salad with mozzarella which was so good. Fresh mozzerella is so creamy, and it tastes divine with tomatoes and balsamic vinegar.
Then for the main course, John had the filet, and I had the Ahi Tuna. Both were delicious, but very filling. I especally like the roasted red pepper aoli with mine. It complimented the Tuna so well. Neither one of us could finish. (Del Monico $$$)

After dinner, John and I headed back to the Wynn to gamble and so he could smoke his cigar.

(Two seconds after I took this picture, I got in trouble, which I knew would happen, but I couldn't resist. They frown upon photos in the casino for security reasons.)John got his butt kicked playing Blackjack, so we decided to try our hand at the Megabucks. No luck there either. Finally we decided to play my favorite table game, 3 Card Poker. I didn't really win anything, but John hit everything, 3-of-a-kind twice, a straight, and a flush, so we walked away with about $505, so we were up a little. Hooray!! Time for bed!!
