Las Vegas Day 4

So today was moving day. We packed up our stuff, and left the Wynn. In the Wynn, there is a Ferrari Maserati store, so I got a good shot of two really cool Maserati's while we were waiting for the Valet to get our Pacifica.Oooooo sexy!! His and Hers Maseratis. Starting at only $125,000 USD. We decided to go over to the Mirage and have breakfast at John's favorite breakfast restaurant:John loves Carnegie Deli because he can order over-medium eggs, and they always come out over-medium! He also loves the home fries and the sausages.
I had the french toast, which was fabulous! Just the right amount of eggy goodness. It was a huge order though, so I couldn't finish it all. Carnegie Deli originates in New York, and is known for it's giant sandwiches. It really is a place to see, but bring your appetite and share a sandwich. You will not believe the portions! (Carnegie Deli $$)Being at the Mirage also reminded me of my favorite restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen. I hope we get a chance to go there, I love the pizza there, soooooo good!
After breakfast, John and I decided to gamble a little. I made a $20 bet on Randy Couture to beat Brock Lesner in the next big UFC fight. Then I played some more 3 Card Poker and John played Black Jack. John didn't have any luck so he came over and played 3 Card Poker with me. Neither one of us won anything significant, but we played for a good hour so it was fun!! Then we lost a little more money playing roulette on the way out.

So we hopped in our Pacifica and drove over to our home for the rest of the trip, the MGM Signature suites. We weren't sure which tower we were in, but after a quick chat with the valet at Tower 1, we discovered we were in Tower 2. What a beautiful lobby!!! I love the decor!!

So after a brief check in, we took the elevators up to our suite. It is really beautiful. It has a little balcony, one bedroom with ensuite including a jetted tub, a full kitchen including a dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave & blender, a small dining area, and a living room with sofa bed. And it's all connected to the MGM. It's great. I love that we have a fridge and a place to make snacks and our own meals if we want too! Also in the bedroom there is a king-size bed, and a desk that a flat screen TV rises out of. It's so cool!

And here's the view, nothing really special, but it's still good.

After settling into our new apartment (I wish it was ours forever!). We decided to go explore a little, and check out the fitness centre. It looked like a great facility with personal tvs attached to all machines. And the best part? It appears to be free. You just need a room key to get in, it sounds a little too good to be true, so we'll find out when we try to use it. All the towers are connected and there is a deli, a gift shop, and a Starbucks. Each tower has it's own pool too. They are also all connected by moving walkway to the MGM.

After all the exploring, we were getting a little peckish, so we walked to the Rainforest Cafe for a snack. It's cute, especially for kids. We had been to the one at Downtown Disney in Florida, but never to the one here in Vegas. We didn't want a big meal, so we ordered Nachos and mozerella sticks.

Honestly, the food wasn't anything special, but the service was great. Our waiter was alway on top of refills, and making sure we were happy. (Rainforest Cafe $$)

After lunch, we went back up to the room and rested. I was feeling a bit sluggish and sick again, so it was nice to just veg. John's friends Brad and Tracey are also here to see the SEMA show so he went down to meet them a bit early, and I stayed and rested. We all had tickets to see Tom Jones at the Hollywood Theatre in the MGM. I met up with them shortly after John and we went to the show. John and I have seen Tom Jones before, and once again he didn't disappoint. He really has a beautiful voice, and you would never guess that he is 68. He's still just as smooth as he was in the 60s. Right before the show started, John went out to go to the bathroom, and he passed Jason Alexander. He was sitting just a few rows in front of us. I have to say old George Castanza is going down hill. He had a bad cheezy leather vest on, and messy hair, unshaven, not attractive at all. Not that I ever thought he was, but jeez, take a shower once in a while.

Something else to note is the Chocolate covered pecan carmel popcorn in the Hollywood Theatre (yes they serve drinks and snacks inside). It was sooo good. Chocolately and creamy, salty and nutty, all at the same time! Yum Yum Yum!!!

After the show, John played a little more blackjack, and we decided to turn in for the night.
